Bodegas Atrevino is a family-run winery with a long tradition of winemaking in the midlands of Tenerife. For generations, the Alonso family has cultivated a passion for viticulture, inspired by the rich traditions of Bordeaux.
The winery is dedicated to producing wines that reflect the spirit of its volcanic landscape and rich heritage. The Alonso family has been involved in viticulture for four generations.

The 1990s
The Origins of the Family Vineyard
The Alonso family, led by Lázaro Alonso Barroso, was dedicated to local production and the sale of bulk wines in the highlands of La Matanza de Acentejo, using grapes from their vineyards in La Caldereta, La Higuera, El Remate, and Las Riquelas.
2005
The Legacy from Parents to Children
His son, Lázaro Alonso Alonso, took over the wine business. Traditional plots were converted to trellises and the century-old vines were maintained using traditional cultivation methods, in addition to leasing new plots.
2010
Expansion and Innovation
Lázaro Alonso visits Bordeaux, France, which inspires the modernization of the winery. The conversion of the artisanal winery into a winery with modern equipment and technology begins.
2023
The Big Leap
The winery is registered as a bottler, obtains health certification, and the first bottled wines are classified as Quality Wines of the Canary Islands (PDO Canary Islands – Canary Wine).
2024
Expansion and Innovation
The winery begins to be known throughout the islands for its oenological excellence and its ability to combine tradition with innovation in highly gastronomic wines. It begins its expansion into national and international markets.
