Bodegas Atrevino established itself as one of the leading representatives of Canarian wine at the Verema Málaga 2025 Experience, held on April 28 at the exclusive Gran Hotel Miramar. At this annual event, which brings together the best wines in Spain,
Atrevino Blanco 2022 was the only wine from the Canary Islands selected to participate in the tasting “The Best Wines of the ADN Verema 2025 Guide.”
This wine, made from Listán Blanco (85%) and Albillo Criollo (15%), was recognized for its unique volcanic character, marked by the freshness, minerality, and complexity of Tenerife’s soils. With an outstanding score of 94 points, Atrevino Blanco 2022 demonstrated the quality of Canarian viticulture, which continues to win over the most demanding tasters.
Atrevino Blanco 2022, partially aged in oak barrels, surprised attendees with its freshness and complexity on the palate. This wine, in addition to reflecting the winery’s sustainable viticulture, was presented in a unique pairing with almogrote gomero, a cured goat cheese that is part of the Canarian gastronomic heritage, providing a memorable sensory experience.

During the tasting, Atrevino Blanco 2022 stood out not only for its organoleptic characteristics, but also for its ability to convey the volcanic soul of Tenerife. The vineyards of Bodegas Atrevino, located on the slopes of La Matanza de Acentejo, El Sauzal, and Tacoronte in the north of the island, feature century-old vines that grow ungrafted, a characteristic that gives their wines a unique authenticity. Viticulture in these vineyards is based on respect for the environment, using sustainable practices that protect both the landscape and the historical heritage of the region.
This participation in the Verema Málaga Experience reinforces the national and international projection of Bodegas Atrevino, which continues to gain recognition on the global wine scene. The winery not only continues to showcase the potential of Canarian wines, but also positions itself as a benchmark in the Canary Islands PDO.
