After an intense three-day trade mission at Barcelona Wine Week (BWW), we return to Tenerife with the hope of establishing new commercial alliances. BWW, which celebrated its largest edition this year, has established itself as a key international event, with a 30% increase in the number of exhibitors and record attendance figures: 1,266 wineries from 81 Designations of Origin and nearly 25,700 professionals.

Institutional support for Canarian wines

The Canary Islands had a prominent presence at the fair thanks to the Canary Islands Institute of Agrifood Quality (ICCA) and PROEXCA. We also had the support of Gestión del Medio Rural (GMR Canarias), a public entity that promotes marketing and supports Canarian wineries in their expansion into new markets and in the development of export strategies, which are key to the growth of the sector.

30 business meetings with international importers

For Bodegas Atrevino, participating in the BWW was an excellent opportunity to promote its wines and establish contacts with potential business partners. The winery held 30 business meetings with national buyers and international importers from strategic markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, China, the Netherlands, Belgium, and South Korea.

The search for a distributor for ATREVINO wines

The winery’s main objective at this edition of BWW was to find importers and distributors who would enable us to bring our wines to a wider audience. We are aware that the uniqueness of our ATREVINO wines, made from century-old ungrafted grapes grown in the volcanic soils of Tenerife, makes them unique products with great potential in the international market.

Preparations for BWW 2026

Barcelona Wine Week 2026 already has a date for its next edition, February 2-4, and Bodegas Atrevino hopes to return with more news at that upcoming event. Participation in this type of event is essential for the winery, as it allows us to present our wines to a professional audience and establish relationships with future business partners.
